Public Observation This Saturday September 19 at Sciworks.

***Final weather call for tomorrow night’s observation. We are a go.  Conditions look great. Hope to see you there. ***

The Forsyth Astronomical Society will be holding a public observation in the main parking area of Sciworks in Winston-Salem this coming Saturday, September 19. Currently the forecast is quite favorable but a final weather call will be made on Friday. Please follow here or on the club’s Facebook page for updates.

Typically there will be solar observing in the hours before sunset. The evening’s celestial sights to be had will include Moon, Saturn, several and differing star clusters, some double stars and possibly a few bright nebulae.

Sunset for the 19th is at 7:25pm and Astronomical twilight is 8:45pm. Come out and share our enthusiasm for the night sky.
