SciWorks April 12 Public Observation

Update —-

On Apr 11, 2014

Hi FAS folks:

The forecast for tomorrow night looks great for our public observation at Sci-Works. In addition to a nice view of the moon, we have Jupiter in excellent viewing position. Also, Mars rises at 7:20 PM, near to its closest approach to Earth in several years. So bring your planetary eyepieces and filters for what looks like a wonderful night for planets.

Sunset: 7:52 PM
Astronomical twilight: 9:20 PM
Moon at 90%

Come on out and enjoy looking at the sky above! Saturday FAS will be at SciWorks. If the sky is clear some member may setup solar scopes to view our star the Sun during the day.

As the sun sets in the west club members will be setting up their scopes for everyone to enjoy.
