Today (Monday, April 6, 2026) Artemis II will fly around the far side of the Moon. The flyby will begin in early afternoon and last around six to seven hours. NASA will lose contact with the spacecraft at 6:44 pm EDT as it passes behind the Moon. They will regain contact at 7:22 pm. NASA’s coverage will begin at 1 pm and last until 9:45 pm EDT.
