Please join us for the August meeting of the Forsyth Astronomical Society at 7:30 on Wednesday, August 13. The meeting will be held at Kaleideum – located at 120 West 3rd Street downtown in Winston-Salem, NC.
The August program will be A Personal Journey through Astrophotography by FAS member Lewis Weinstock.
Join us as Lewis takes us through his journey into astrophotography – one he began five years ago after retirement. He will describe his progress at various stages with some useful lessons for others traversing the excitement (and maybe trials and tribulations) of learning about astrophotography. You can find several of his images on his Telescopius page.
You don’t have to be a member to attend. If you’re curious and have an interest in astronomy and the universe, come on out! Of course, you can come just for the donuts.
The doors to the building will open at 7:00 pm. The doors will reman locked. Someone will be there to let you in.
We will meet in the 1st floor La STEAM B room. Enter through the side entrance (Members and Group entrance on the left). Go straight ahead into the meeting room.
When leaving, go out through the same side door and make sure the door is closed tightly behind you.
Please DO NOT wander throughout the building – The exhibits are NOT open.
