Please join us for the December 7, 2023 meeting of the Forsyth Astronomical Society. The meeting will be held at Kaleideum North (formerly SciWorks), 400 West Hanes Mill Road, Winston-Salem, NC.
This will be our annual potluck holiday gathering. So, bring your best dishes to share! Yes, you can stop by the supermarket on your way if necessary. FAS Historian Steve Childers will also enlighten us with some historical tidbits about FAS.
The festivities start at 7:30 pm. Please note that for December only, the meeting will be held on Thursday, December 7 and NOT on our regular date of Wednesday, December 13.
You don’t have to be a member to attend. If you’re curious and have an interest in astronomy and the universe, come on out! Of course, you can come just for the food.
Kaleideum North will be closing on December 31, 2023.
It will be replaced by a brand new Kaleideum museum downtown on Third Street, which will open in the spring of next year.
This might just be our last meeting at this location, so please join us! Although, we might be back here in January if things are not quite ready downtown.
