- From Winston-Salem, take US 421 North to Exit 265 A, Interstate 77 North
- Continue to Exit 83, US 21 North
- Continue 10.7 miles and turn left on Traphill Road
- Continue 4.4 miles and turn right on John P Frank Parkway
- Continue 2.3 miles and enter Stone Mountain State Park
- Turn right on Royal Camp Lane and proceed to the campground A Loop
- Attendees with telescopes may park in campsites 33, 34, 35, 36, and 37
- Additional parking is available at the A Loop bathhouse, unoccupied campsite driveways, or single-file along the access road, allowing room for vehicles to pass
- Reach the observing site field by walking through the grassy areas between campsites 33 and 34, or 36 and 37
- No vehicles are allowed in the field
- Attendees who do not have a camping reservation must leave when FAS leaves
