Our Observatory Director Bill Rankin has gone to Texas in search of dark skies. Well, he hasn’t actually moved there, but he has sent one of his astrophotography setups including his Williams Optics Redcat 71 to Starfront Observatories in Rockwood, Texas. From there he can operate his equipment remotely under Bortle 1 skies just as if it was in his front yard.
