One of the year’s best meteor showers is coming up on the night of Saturday December 13 through the morning of Sunday, December 14. The Geminids radiate from around the constellation of Gemini and are remnants from the asteroid 3200 Phaethon.
The meteor shower is best viewed in the early morning hours from a dark location. A telescope is not required. The best viewing strategy is to set up a folding lounge chair or anything that will allow you to look comfortably at the night sky for an extended time.
