July 2025 FAS Meeting (Wednesday, July 9)

Please join us for the July meeting of the Forsyth Astronomical Society at 7:30 on Wednesday, July 9. The meeting will be held at Kaleideum – located at 120 West 3rd Street downtown in Winston-Salem, NC.

The July program will be a program on Mars, The Red Planet.

If you look up in the night sky somewhere around the constellation of Leo – the Lion, you will see a small reddish looking star. This is the planet Mars. It doesn’t look like much through even a small telescope. So, if you want a better view of the planet, please join us for an overview of Mars, the Red Planet at our July meeting.

You don’t have to be a member to attend. If you’re curious and have an interest in astronomy and the universe, come on out! Of course, you can come just for the donuts.

The doors to the building will open at 7:00 pm. The doors will reman locked. Someone will be there to let you in.

We will meet in the 1st floor La STEAM B room. Enter through the side entrance (Members and Group entrance on the left). Go straight ahead into the meeting room.

When leaving, go out through the same side door and make sure the door is closed tightly behind you.

Please DO NOT wander throughout the building – The exhibits are NOT open.
