Please join us for the November 8, 2023 meeting of the Forsyth Astronomical Society. The meeting will be held at Kaleideum North (formerly SciWorks), 400 West Hanes Mill Road, Winston-Salem, NC.
FAS President Justin Nichols will tell us about the history of the Kaleideum North facility.
The program starts at 7:30 pm. The Society’s business meeting will take place after the program.
You don’t have to be a member to attend. If you’re curious and have an interest in astronomy and the universe, come on out!
The current Kaleideum North facility opened as SciWorks in 1992. Before that, the Nature Science Center occupied the property. We will look back at how the current museum came to exist.
Kaleideum North will be closing on December 31, 2023. It will be replaced by a brand new Kaleideum museum downtown on Third Street, which will open in mid-February next year.
