Public Solar Observation at Forsyth County Central Library (Saturday, September 6 from 10 AM to Noon)

WEATHER UPDATE: This event will take place as scheduled.

FAS will hold a solar observation on the front lawn of Forsyth County Central Library (660 West 5th Street) on Saturday, September 6, from 10 am to 12 Noon. This event is free and open to the public. Solar telescopes will be available to safely view the Sun and solar activity such as sunspots and solar flares.

See here for directions and parking information.

This event is dependent on the WEATHER. Clouds and rain do make it difficult to observe the Sun, so check with us on the FAS website (www.fas37.org) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ForsythAstronomical/) for a weather update.
