Public Solar Observation at King Central Park on Sunday, October 29 (1 pm to 3 pm)

WEATHER UPDATE: Sunday’s forecast shows mostly clear skies. This event will take place as scheduled.

FAS will hold a public solar observation at King Central Park (302 Kirby Road, King NC 27021) on Sunday, October 29, from 1 pm to 3 pm. Solar telescopes will be available to safely view the Sun and solar activity such as sunspots and solar flares.

See below for directions.

This event is dependent on the WEATHER. Clouds and rain do make it difficult to observe the Sun, so check with us on the FAS website (www.fas37.org) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ForsythAstronomical/) for a weather update.

After (or before) the event, to learn more about telescopes, astronomy, and observing the night sky, see our many astronomy resources, including information about purchasing a telescope at fas37.org.
