Unfortunately, the forecast has remained consistent for the last several days, calling for complete cloud cover and intervals of rain tomorrow. Because of this, the FAS solar observation for the Hispanic League Festival is canceled.

Solar Observation at Hispanic League Festival

FAS will be providing a solar observation at the Hispanic League festival this coming Saturday, September 10, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, weather permitting. We will have telescopes set up that are equipped to safely look at the sun. We will be located in Winston Square Park, which is just north of Sawtooth Center between Spruce, Marshall, Second, and Fourth streets in downtown Winston-Salem. A weather call for the observation will be made by late Friday evening and posted on the FAS website at http://www.fas37.org/. The festival will take place regardless of the weather.
